If you make a reservation at Skateworld or use our services, we (often) need information from you. You usually fill this in on the forms on our website or provide it by telephone.

Your data will only be used for the purpose for which we received it, i.e. to enable your order or reservation, or to invoice it. Have you given us your name and address to receive a brochure? Then we will only use your data to send you that brochure and information on that subject and not to send you other material.

This way we ensure that they also handle your data safely and confidentially. Skateworld remains responsible for the processing of your personal data.

We also use other platforms for our services, such as Google, Facebook and Mailchimp. Skateworld has no influence on the way in which those external platforms handle your personal data. Your data may end up outside the EU. You can find out how these companies handle your data in their privacy statements.

What rights do I have?

In accordance with the GTC, you as a customer/supplier have the following rights:

  • Right of access: this means that you can request information about the processing of your personal data, access this data and request a copy of it.

  • Right to correction: this means that you have the right to have your personal data deleted.

  • Right to withdraw consent: this means that you have the right to withdraw your consent.

  • Right to restriction of processing: this means that in some cases you can restrict the way your personal data is used.

  • Right to portability: this means that you have the right to transfer your personal data to another controller.

Can Skateworld use my photos or footage?

At Skateworld we sometimes take photos and video recordings of our visitors. We then use this for our Facebook page, flyers and other promotional material, website and atmospheric reports. By purchasing a ticket and/or visiting Skateworld, you tacitly give permission to take and publish non-posed, spontaneous photos and atmospheric images. For targeted photos, we need your explicit permission according to the privacy law.

What are cookies?

A cookie is a small text file that a website places on the hard drive of your computer when you visit the site. The main function of cookies is to distinguish one user from another.

Skateworld.be places cookies with visitors.

We do this to collect information about the pages that users visit on our website, to keep track of how often visitors return and to see which pages are doing well on the website. We also keep track of what information the browser shares. We use Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager for this. We have entered into a processing agreement with Google. These statistics are anonymous to us, but not to Google. They can use that data.

Camera footage?

For safety measures, several cameras have been installed at Skateworld. These images are only used in the event of an incident or if the police request this. These images are only shared with police units at their specific request. We will not keep these images for longer than 6 weeks, unless requested by the police or authorities.

How does Skateworld deal with social media?

If you contacted us via social media (Google My Business, Messenger, WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.) to ask a question about our services, we will only use your data to answer your question.
